Immigrants, Not Australians, Must Adapt, Says Aussie Prime Minister

Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard

CANBERRA – Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday (30 March 2011) to get out of Australia, as the  government targeted radicals in a bid to head off  potential terror attacks.
Separately, Gillard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying  she supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques. Quote:  ‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians. ‘
‘This culture has been developed over two  centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions  of men and women who have sought freedom’
‘We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish,  Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any  other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society.  Learn the language!’
‘Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented.  It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.’
‘We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why.  All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.’
‘This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you  are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take  advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE  RIGHT TO LEAVE’.’
‘If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.’

Wow! I can’t imagine a European or North American head of state saying something like this. They would be immediately be accused of being racist.

No doubt some racist elements in Australia will be pleased by Gillard’s comments. I believe she does have a point however. Many Muslims want to have special rights like they would in an Islamic state, but also want to have the freedoms and rights that people have from living in the West. You can’t have it both ways. That inevitably leads to tension, and we are beginning to see that happening in Europe too.

The real deal is, racism is singling out an ethnicity for dehumanization. Being real about wanting ones culture to remain stable is not racism. Muslims in particular are very careful about this. They gain dominance in a political region and then carefully rid it of any other culture. They disallow any other religious practice and allow (encourage) the persecution of all people who fail to accept their progressive alienation. Eventually brutal murder and exile finish the job. It is part of their holy writings. They see all other cultures as weak because they won’t force conformity. “Modern” cultures that champion diversity make easy targets for aggressive cultures wanting dominance. I want to move to Australia.

This item is a HOAX. The same copy was sent round about 10 years ago using John Howard (former Aussie PM) instead of Gillard. Of course we know it’s the way they really think, but unfortunately they never said it…

It first began with Howard, then Rudd,
Now it’s Julia’s turn whilst they all wish to, they do not have the backbone to say this
IT IS TRUE ALL THE SAME
It is time Australians stood up for their beliefs and not just sit on their collective arses and say “She’ll be right mate”
These trouble makers are slowly but surely gnawing at our country as they did theirs, do we really want Australia to follow the way their countries have gone and are going??
    The wheels are turning!
Australians need to apply the brakes, before these scumbags crest the hill and take us down their path!
    Enough is Enough
    Stop the rort now!

Great news. I am pleased that Australian prime minister bravely said such thing. In Europe, the terror attacks are everywhere now.

What rights do the non-muslim have under muslim rule? Then, the answer is clear.

Muslims are asking all the rights that they themselves never received even in their own countries before migrating.

I am shocked at the comments of support for this- real or not.
No wonder the rest of the world sees your country as racist hillbillies.
Founded by criminals and populated by racists.
Tell the aborigine that you believe in accepting the culture of the land- see what they think about love it or leave it.

I am pretty sure she was addressing the extreme fuss…but, she herself went extreme. As a PM you have to be very very diplomatic and carefully choose your words. The above conveys only frustration and not the solution.

If the above comments of the Aussie PM is authentic, then its fine. When you enter to a country with different belief than yours, then you should bear with their laws and traditions, not trying to stay on your laws at your own country. If you do not like to adopt, then go back to your home country of origin. This people are complaining a lot about western style of leaving.

  9. The big problem is we have taken political correctness to the limit. Stop worrying about who may be offended. These issues go straight to the heart of our basic freedoms. If you look at countrys that operate under the oppression of the Muslim faith, then you surely wouldn,t want that here. The truth is that any person that is not muslim is an “infidel” and therefore under the Korran must be killed, to become an Imman, you must swear a holy Jehad on infidels, and encourage your followers to do so. Therefore this is not a tolerant religion, but a destructive and devisive one. wake up Aussies, she WONT be right mate , and good on you Julia, try the same direct approach with our learned friend Tony and you just might win this election. How sad in light of Ms Gillards amazing handling of what was a minority government , getting the carbon tax , mining tax {all beneficial} the Gonski and royal commission into peadophilia through senate and into law that she has now been deposed by a biased media driven hate campaign.

Muslim, Hindi, Buddhist or any other religion or ethnic group. Why can’t people who say they come here to avoid persecution in their own country realise that when in Rome one does as the Romans do? That does not mean that they abandon their own religion but they have the abililty to accept all other people’s right to worship in their own chosen way. This is not a Muslim country, and if people of this faith are not happy then the obvious answer is that they head to another country on some other boat. Any ethnic group if they wish to integrate in any country will be accepted if they do not try to push their own particular viewpoint on their “adopted” country. No wonder there is such terrible wars in countries if everyone is expected to swing in favour of such rigid ideas. I have lived for quite long periods of time amongst moderate Muslims in a foreign country. When I showed respect for them, it was generously reciprocated. Open minds attract an open welcome.

  11. GOOD GRIEF! Can any one tell this speech is in part fabricated. Politicians are political and have better sense than the above supposed quote.
HOWEVER!!!! The truth of the matter is that the content shows amazing truth about how it IS and should be conveyed. The truth is the truth. My only objection is that someone took licence to mis-quote the remarks. But if you take time to absorb what is being said in the article you must agree every point is valid. If you understand the premise and rules of the muslim religion you understand the ideas behind the statements. If you do not understand the ideas in the article you are blinded by your own naivety. And the only defense one has is to name call and accuse in the name of tollerence. I for one would challenge the objector to defend their stance with pure facts instead of name calling and insults. Thinking adults are able to do this. To beleive it isn’t valid is to have your head in the sand. Every point is a FACT; not an article aimed at hate but one aimed at blatent
honesty. Don’t move into my world and attempt to alter it is the message.
