KOLKATA – A group of teachers from Karbi-Anglong district of Assam visited Don Bosco School Park Circus, 16 November, as part of their on-going education programme. Besides interaction with the Principal Fr Siby Vadakel, the visitors also had an extensive tour of the school campus getting to know various academic pursuits on site – including the day school, night school, formal and non-formal technical training and skills training offered to the marginalized youth.
The teachers undergoing three-month training programme at Don Bosco Institute Kharguli Guwahati hail from 33 government schools belonging to 11 blocks of the KariAnglong Autonomous District Council.
This is the first batch of teachers from Karbianglong undergoing teacher’s exposure and up-date programme at DBI.
Arriving in Kolkata by flight on Saturday, 12th November on a five day visit with guide Sr K. Elizabeth FMA of DBI, the group stayed at Nitika Don Bosco and toured Kolkata city.
They will return to DBI Guwahati by flight on 16th November evening.
