Salesians to feature in travelogue

Author: Brenda Rodrigues

KOLKATA, (C.M. Paul) — Late Fr Luigi Jellici SDB of Mirik (Darjeeling dist) is one of six personalities featuring on the back cover of a new book by Brenda Barbara Rodrigues of Mumbai. The book is scheduled to be launched at TITLE WAVES at Bandra West on 23 June 2012.
The author says, “there are at least four chapters on the Northeast India and Fr. Luigi is also mentioned in the chapters on Italy.”
“Your description was so vivid, I thought I was watching a movie… I immediately consulted the map of Africa and found most of the places you visited,” says late Fr Jellici.
The title of the book is still a mystery and suspense!
“I have been working on my book (a travelogue spanning the years of our travels from 1970 to 2012) for the past many years,” says Brenda who has travelled northeast India with her communications and management trainer husband Joe Rodrigues since 1985.
The book launch is scheduled to be held at the St. Paul’s Institution, “Title Waves”, the largest book store in India.
The author has designed the two hour book launch to be an interactive session.
For a change, instead of the bespectacled regulars at usual book launches, young people who find worldwide travel to widen their horizons very attractive are expected to pack the hall.
“Although our first book together “Lydia Brides” was a lot of work, I realise now that it was nothing compared to the work involved in bringing out my 500+page travelogue,” reminisces Brenda who co-authored her first book with husband Joe also her partner at Breakthrough Communications Services, Mumbai.
