BANDEL, (C.M. Paul) – Putting discipline among an excited crowd of primary students decking their class room for Teachers’ Day celebrations, 5th September, landed the assistant-principal of Don Bosco Bandel in serious trouble.
Fr Subir Mondol, the assistant principal of the school’s Junior section, got enraged when he saw some students of class 4 playing with foam spray. He quickly swung into disciplinary action, injuring seven of them.
It is reported that three of the students sustained head injuries and required some stitches.
The parents of the three students lodged a complaint at the Chinsurah police station where they mentioned about the caning of four other students.
Fr. Mondal (38 year old) currently lodged at Polba Police Station will be presented at Hooghly District Court at Chinsurah, on Thursday 6th September.
