Auxilium youth meet begins at Kalyani

Delegates from Monsadh, from Bangladesh border

KALYANI, (C.M. Paul) — Auxilium School Kalayani is holding AYM (Auxilium Youth Movement) province level gathering of young people of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, 10-12 November. Some 120 delegates are participating in this first ever AYM gathering from Auxilium centers in Bengal (South, Central and North) as well as Sikkim, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh.

Delegates started arriving from Friday evening 9th November.

“The first youth gathering on the occasion of the Year of Faith, this meet has all sectors (youth, mission, catechesis, communication) of the province represented,” says province youth delegate and local host Sr Rosalia Tirkey.

After an informal orientation session at 2.00 pm, on Saturday, the inaugural function presided over by Vice-Provincial Sr Lily will take place at 4.30 pm in the presence of local dignitaries.

Besides days of serious study marking the Year of Faith, participants will have fun times, and camp fires.

The gathering coordinated by Sr Esther will conclude on Monday 12 November with a day long pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Happy Voyage at Bandel as well as Holy Eucharist at the Tomb of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta presided over by Fr A. Anandaraj SDB of Nitika Tengra.
